Planetary Radio Live: All These Worlds… Planet 9 and Our Expanding Solar System
The Planetary Society returns to KPCC’s Crawford Family Forum for a special Planetary Radio Live event. Host Mat Kaplan will talk with Caltech researchers Mike “Plutokiller” Brown and Konstantin Batygin about their compelling evidence for a true ninth planet in our solar system. The hunt for this world is now underway.

Also joining the conversation will be the Society’s Senior Editor, Emily Lakdawalla. The “Planetary Evangelist” has earned a worldwide reputation for her deep knowledge about the planets, moons and millions of smaller objects that circle the Sun. Cassini Project Scientist Linda Spilker will also join the conversation as we explore the outer reaches of our solar system.

The solar system undoubtedly has many more surprises waiting for us. The panel will speculate about the existence of even more planets far from our warming star, and how our explorations of the last few decades have revealed unending diversity and spectacular beauty among the worlds we already know.
Planetary Society CEO Bill Nye the Science Guy will make a special, virtual appearance to help us share the passion, beauty and joy of space exploration in our own backyard.
