365 Days of Astronomy Celebrates Sagan's Birthday

Yesterday would have been Carl Sagan's 77th birthday. The incomparable Nancy Atkinson of Universe Today and the 365 Days of Astronomy podcast pleasantly surprised us with a special present to mark the occasion. She reposted my two-year-old conversation with Ann Druyan, Carl's co-creator and life partner.

I just finished listening to this encore presentation. I had forgotten how much I was affected and inspired by Ann's remembrances and what she is doing now, not just to preserve the legacy, but to advance it. Ann also heads Cosmos Studios, which is co-producing an updated edition of Cosmos that will be hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson. Talk about a tough act to follow. I can't wait to see the result.

I hope you'll enjoy listening to this little blast from the past.
