Good news, everyone! The OSIRIS-REx mission and The Planetary Society are extending the Name That Asteroid contest entry deadline to December 31. Know any kids who want a chance to name a part of the solar system? Let them know about the contest! Kids must be under 18, and an adult has to write in the entry on their behalf. Make sure to help them read the naming guidelines and explain why their chosen name would be a good one for this asteroid.
