The Long-Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) took this photo of 2014 MU69 on 1 January 2019 at 5:01 UT, just 30 minutes before closest approach, from a range of 28,000 kilometers, with an original scale of 140 meters per pixel. It has been sharpened and enlarged.
