High-resolution view of Dione Nine separate raw Cassini images of Dione make up this mosaic, captured during the May 1, 2012 encounter from about 9,000 kilometers away.

NASA / JPL / SSI / mosaic by Emily Lakdawalla

To produce this mosaic, the center frame was used as a reference, and the others resized, rotated, and occasionally skewed to make features match up, because of Cassini's shifting point of view.

Original frames: N00186326, N00186327, N00186328, N00186329, N00186330, N00186331, N00186332, N00186333, N00186334

Original image data dated on or about May 2, 2012.
