DIVINER image of LCROSS impact site on the Moon A DIVINER temperature map of the lunar surface is overlaid on a daytime thermal image of the lunar south pole. DIVINER gathered data on the LCROSS impact site, the crater Cabeus, on four orbits spaced about two hours apart, both before and after the impact. It successfully detected a thermal signature from the impact.
