The Planetary Society returns to Cross Campus Pasadena for another exciting conversation with a space pioneer. Marc Rayman of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory is Chief Engineer and Mission Director for Dawn, the ion-engine powered spacecraft that is now orbiting Ceres, the largest world in the asteroid belt. Scientists are still baffled by the dwarf planet’s mysterious bright spots, even as Dawn spirals closer and closer to the cratered surface. On stage with Marc and Planetary Radio host Mat Kaplan will be the Society’s Senior Editor and Planetary Evangelist Emily Lakdawalla.
