Snapshots from Space: Seasons on Mars

Go Back

Emily opens a new Planetary Society video series with this brief yet fascinating look at the Martian seasons, explaining why winters are much less fun in the southern hemisphere. Mat Kaplan produces.

ERRATUM: Despite what Emily says in the video, Curiosity is landing in the southern hemisphere, so it will face the more extreme southern seasons, but it will be close to the equator.
