Planetary Radio Live at the Planetary Defense Conference

Roma, Italy

Attendance is free and open to all, but online registration is required. Seating is limited.

The Planetary Society presents a special edition of Planetary Radio Live as part of the 2015 Planetary Defense Conference. The PDC is the biannual gathering of Near Earth Object experts from around the world. This public program will review the latest progress in identifying and determining the threat posed by asteroids and comets that cross Earth’s orbit. How will humanity avoid the fate of the dinosaurs when a deadly asteroid is found to be on a collision course with our planet?

Joining host Mat Kaplan on stage at the headquarters of Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI) will be:

William Ailor, The Aerospace Corporation, PDC Co-Chair
Bruce Betts, Planetary Society Director of Science and Technology
Paul Chodas, NASA Near-Earth Object Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)
Lindley Johnson, NASA NEO Observation Program Executive
Detlef Koschny, ESA Co-Manager for the SSA-NEO segment
