Matt Brealey is a Visual Effects Artist/Product Designer living in London, England. After spending over a decade creating software to process imagery for films, TV and the design world, Matt has recently started attempting to use the very same techniques to process raw space imagery. The results of this experimentation can be found over on The State Of Space, and he often posts other slightly off topic thoughts on Twitter as @badgrenola.
This 2-image mosaic Jupiter's north pole was constructed from raw images from Juno during its first perijove. Visible compression artifacts are present in the raw data and not introduced through processing. The top section was not captured in the raw image and is therefore missing.
