Wendy Calvin

Wendy Calvin is a professor at the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at the University of Nevada Reno. Her research focuses on the spectral properties of minerals and ices, Mars surface processes, and mineral spectroscopy applied to exploration and drilling. She is a member of the Mars Exploration Rover, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Mars Color Imager (MARCI), and Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM) science teams. She has also served on numerous National Research Council (NRC) and NASA committees related to planetary exploration.
