The Planetary Society sent a letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce Science and Transportation in support of the nomination of Charles Bolden for NASA Administrator and Lori Garver for the agency's Deputy Administrator.
NASA has many challenges to navigate in the coming years, and the agency will need strong leadership at its helm. As the letter states, "At its best, the agency is a showpiece of American derring-do, scientific inquiry, and engineering brilliance, and as such, needs administrative leaders who will enable the agency to achieve its full potential." The Planetary Society believes that Bolden -- along with Garver -- is the right leader for the job and urges the Senate to confirm his nomination. Read the letter.
