Celebrate Curiosity with a “Party on Mars!” Saturday night!

…or, as I have been referring to it: Nerd party!!!

Join me and Bill Nye to blow off some steam on Saturday night as we anticipate Curiosity’s landing! In the spirit of such nerdtacular gatherings as W00tstock and LeetUp, we’re having a big party at the Paseo Colorado here in Pasadena to celebrate Curiosity! It'll be you and me and a thousand other space fans, geeks, celebs, and lovers of boldly going where no one has gone before! Enjoy music, performances, dancing, drinks, goodies, games, and guests with a Mars-y theme! With appearances by Bill Nye and others including me and SpaceX and NASA folks. And lots of giveaways with blinky lights. And a floating midi-controlled musical laser octopus. (Seriously. Look at the video below.) And much more!

I’ll be there, with bells on; and I hope to see you too! 5 pm to 1 am. Saturday. Be there AND be square (ha, ha, snort).
