Sorry for there not being much in the way of posts the last few days -- I've been working on other projects that have kept me from the blog. A couple of announcements

This Friday, November 21, tune in to Stargate Atlantis to watch Planetary Society Vice-President Bill Nye and board member Neil deGrasse Tyson when they guest star in the episode, "Brain Storm," airing at 9:00 pm ET on the SciFi channel. Robert Picardo, a member of The Planetary Society's Advisory Council, is a regular cast member on the science fiction television series. For more information, visit the Stargate Atlantis website.

Also, after receiving no mail on the topic for nearly two months, I've suddenly started receiving numerous questions from readers about when I'm going to do another Ustream video chat. I can't do one next week (it's Thanksgiving and I'll be traveling) but I can plan one for the following week. That's Wednesday, December 3, at noon PST (click here for a table of times in other places). I'd welcome suggestions for topics to discuss.

Essential Advocacy

Our Advocacy Program provides each Society member a voice in the process.

Funding is critical. The more we have, the more effective we can be, translating into more missions, more science, and more exploration.
