T minus 4 and counting!

Posted by Emily Lakdawalla

The official launch count has resumed...four minutes to go!

Oxygen is still venting in a long stream from the center of the rocket...

T minus 3...

Third stage is being armed...

I just heard "Go Phoenix!" over the NASA commentary...not a cheer, it's part of the countdown...

Two minutes to more oxygen venting...

90 seconds...

80 seconds...

Range is "go" for launch...nothing in the way...

70 seconds...

Puffs of oxygen venting...they're topping off...

35 seconds...

T minus 20...

Our Advocacy Program provides each Society member a voice in the process.

Funding is critical. The more we have, the more effective we can be, translating into more missions, more science, and more exploration.
