Gifts to The Planetary Society in the form of stocks, bonds or mutual funds appreciated in value can be an easy way for you to generously support the Society and may also be attractive to U.S. donors under current tax laws.

With a gift of stock owned for more than one year, you are entitled to a charitable deduction for the full market value at he time the gift is made.

You also will avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation in value. Making this transfer is simple. Because electronic transfers of stock are made without identifying the donor, please let us know in advance about the stock and number of shares you would like to donate to the Society.
