On sol 740, Curiosity picked her way carefully down a ramp into a series of valleys that contain some of the oldest rocks she had yet encountered. The patch of light-toned rocks in the middle distance, about 1/3 of the way from the left edge of the image, is an outcrop named Pahrump Hills.

As of sol 581, Curiosity was within arm's reach of the Kimberley outcrop. This panorama is composed of images taken after the sol 581 drive but includes a view of Mount Sharp taken on sol 576.
