Porter McDonald

Porter McDonald has been an educator for almost ten years and an artist for even longer. He is currently teaching at BASIS Tucson North in Tucson, Arizona. While not born in the American Southwest, Porter received a BA in Studio Art and an MA in Art Education from the University of Arizona. Having fully infused the Sonoran Desert and its culture into his being, he and his wife decided to stay raising his two desert rat daughters in Tucson. Porter’s work includes large-scale paintings and murals as well as smaller comics and cartoons.
