The North polar region of Saturn
The North Pole of Saturn seen by Cassini in its close pass by the gas giant on 26 April 2017. The rings loom from beyond the planet.

This close look at the North Pole of Saturn was pieced together from numerous low resolution RGB image sets. Much adjustment of contrast and brightness in Photoshop was required to provide uniformity to the numerous image rows.
