Bill Nye Visits the SOFIA Telescope

Bill Nye and Mat Kaplan recently drove to California's high desert to shoot a video documentary about the big SOFIA infrared telescope that is carried above 41,000 feet by a remodeled Boeing 747. Planetary Radio this week features some of the audio recorded during that visit. Emily Lakdawalla is no longer a skeptic regarding ice volcanoes, since one may have been found on Titan. The new space trivia contest offers a hardcover copy of the new book about the sixty-year history of the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, Flights of Discovery.
