We’re looking for images you’ve taken of your sky—whether those images are of galaxies captured through a telescope or perhaps pictures of an incredible night sky, an eclipse, a star party, or a rocket launch. We can’t guarantee that we’ll publish every image and story—but we will look at each and every one and will showcase as many as possible here on our website and a few might make it to our magazine, The Planetary Report. We look forward to seeing your Sky.

Space settlement is mandatory for human survival.
I remember seeing Spudnik; then on to Verne, Wells, Asimov, Clark, Heinlein, Dickson, van Vogt, etc. SF shows many ways. I watched Armstrong and Aldrin with my great uncle, who was 26 for Kitty Hawk. The last 40 years have been wasted compared to kitty Hawk to Apollo. As the greatest republic in history, the USA must take the leadership in settling the solar system and beyond. I may be disabled physically, but I can still dream and hope!

I am a simple Social Studies teacher with a passion and optimism for eventual human space exploration and discovery. When I was young, I was interested in science fiction and future of mankind that included the discovery of other worlds and intelligent life beyond our planetary borders. As I have grown, that interest has evolved into a more enlightened appreciation for real science and the promise that it shows for the future. Hi, I am Robert Francis Spurling and I have been fascinated by space ever since I was a little boy. I emersed myself in as much sci-fi stuff as I could. Spent hours watching STAR TREK and other cool sci-fi/fantasy Shows like Battle Star Galactica and Babylon 5. Wanted to learn to fly so I joined the United States, Air Force, where for the first time, went up in a Cessna Air Craft and almost lost my cookies. So much for Space Flight.
