Wake-Up Call

Like so many Americans, I've wandered aimlessly through life until recently (28 years), trying to find a way to be content. After seeing the night sky at one of McDonald Observatory's Star Parties, a passion woke inside me when I saw the night sky with my own eyes for the first time with a mind able to comprehend it. There's no longer a search for how to be happy, but a search for more knowledge, and for my place in this community. I look forward to this adventure and cooperating with you all for a better tomorrow.

In 1969, mankind visited another world for the first time. It was an amazing moment for humanity; the millennial dream of reaching the moon had come true. Certainly the impetus behind the Apollo project was not only the conquest of new horizons but also a desire for national prestige.
