When I was a young boy in the 1970s, TV shows like Star Trek and Space 1999 enthralled me. I learned everything I could about the Solar System, sometimes staying in for recess. Eventually I became a physics and astronomy professor, and I did that for 15 years. Then I attended a conference in North Carolina where a man named Neil Degrasse Tyson spoke. After that I decided to return to school and get my Phd. Today, I'm Dr Wood and still a physics and astronomy professor, but I also work as a part time astronomer where I get a second paycheck and I also perform my own astrophysics research independently from my college. This fall, my brief on the dynamics of small solar system bodies will be published. I would say I am living my dream.
