Who are we? We are YOU!

We are dads, moms, grandparents, teachers, kids, scientists, engineers, and space geeks. We are those who reach out into the Universe to seek answers to those deep questions: Where did we come from, and are we alone?

We are wowed and awed by the discovery of new things, the mysteries of science, the innovations of technology, the bravery of astronauts, and by the stunning images sent back to us from other worlds.

We know that space exploration is vital to humankind...and it is just plain fun!

Is this useful for Climate Change Research? It's Funding Grant was not renewed by the UK, Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). If we achieve funding for the short / intermediate term it allows time for securing long term funding. The Alert came from ... more »

by Ronald Kriesel

March 21, 2019

As Opportunity Mission (anticipated as a 90-day mission) has just shut down after 11 years of exploring (2008-2019) and over 26 miles on the surface of Mars, I present several of the interesting Opportunity images. Images courtesy NASA/JPL/Cal Tech/Cornell U and other space agencies. Thousands of images. All camera setups on the Opportunity are stereo pairs so as to capture left/right images. Front Haz Mat Cameras, Rear Haz Mat Cameras, Navigation Cameras, Panoramic Cameras, and the science/micro imaging cameras. Take time to look and have some fun.

After seeing the night sky at one of McDonald Observatory's Star Parties, a passion woke inside me when I saw the night sky with my own eyes for the first time with a mind able to comprehend it. There's no longer a search for how to be happy, but a search for more knowledge, and for my place in this community. I look forward to this adventure and cooperating with you all for a better tomorrow.
