David Smith

Dr. David E. Smith is the principal investigator of the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He was also the principal investigator for the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) aboard the failed Mars Observer mission, as well as its successor MOLA aboard Mars Global Surveyor.
