For At-Home Participants

On 10 February 2020, space advocates around the world are working together to advance three key initiatives:

In the United States, 115 members of The Planetary Society from 28 states will be visiting 150 congressional offices in Washington, D.C. to spread this message.

At-home participants in the United States can help their fellow Planetary Society members by writing and calling Congress to amplify their message.

To learn more about our goals, you can read our near-term policy goals and our broader policy principles.

Elsewhere, we encourage supporters to reach out to their leaders in government by email and social media to share the key talking points [pdf]. We want every government -- whether they have a major space program or are just beginning to wade into the cosmic ocean -- to aim for these same goals. You may need to do some Googling to find out how to contact your representatives in government, but we encourage you to take the time to do this.

Public support is also fundamental to political action, and by educating others about these advocacy initiatives you can do your part to build that support. Encourage others to join us on our Day of Action on social media.

Today I joined thousands of other space advocates working to support NASA. When we #FundSpace we can send humans into deep space, defend the Earth from asteroids, and search for life beyond Earth. It brings out the best in us. Join me:
