Robin Young

Robin Young is an experienced administrative professional who has lent her many talents to diverse areas such as academia, entertainment, and non-profit organizations. A childhood love of Greek mythology sparked her interest in the constellations and other objects in the night sky. Soon she was informing her schoolmates that they had not just wished upon a star, but on a planet. She has a deep affinity for the natural world and has been known to schedule camping trips to coincide with night sky activity.

She joins The Planetary Society at a time of growth and expansion with the intent to create a new level of stewardship for our members. In the office, Robin will be supporting director of development Richard Chute and the membership team during this busy time in our history.

Out of the office, Robin can be found bird watching, gardening, and producing the annual Claremont Folk Festival, which raises funds for the Claremont Folk Music Center Museum. She will never say no if someone proposes pizza or sushi, and next to breathing, reading is her favorite pastime.
