We're on Asteroid Watch With JPL's Don Yeomans

Airdate: Monday, August 17, 2009
Running Time: 00:28:52
Listen: Windows Media | MP3

Asteroid Watch is the new website based at the Jet Propulsion Lab. It's overseen by Don Yeomans, Manager of NASA's Near Earth Object Program Office. Don takes us on a tour of the site as we talk about the science and danger of these rocks in space. Emily Lakdawalla finishes her Q&A dive into Jupiter's interior. Bruce Betts and Mat Kaplan check out the origins of Marvin the Martian and explore the night sky in What's Up. Can your Tweet to an alien make us laugh? That's our space trivia contest. Bill Nye has the week off.
