Celebrating the MESSENGER Mercury Flyby With Sean Solomon

Airdate: Monday, February 11, 2008
Running Time: 00:28:52
Listen: Windows Media | MP3

Sean Solomon's MESSENGER spacecraft gave us our first close up look at Mercury in thirty-three years. The mission's Principal Investigator returns to tell us about the exciting data and images that have already been released. Bill Nye the Science (and Planetary) Guy is excited about the Columbus lab reaching the International Space Station, while Bruce Betts is pretty thrilled about an imminent lunar eclipse. He and Mat will also present a new space trivia contest.
