Bob Pappalardo talked to us last week about an expedition to Ellesmere Island, far above the Arctic Circle. This week, we go to the source in a satellite conversation with Stephen Grasby of the Geologic Survey of Canada. Grasby and three colleagues are investigating a sulfur-spewing spring that may represent the closest thing to Jupiter's moon Europa to be found on our own planet. Emily Lakdawalla is counting craters, and for good reason, while Bruce Betts gives away another Planetary Radio t-shirt and introduces a new space trivia contest on What's Up.
