Far Out Sedna

Airdate: Sunday, March 21, 2004
Running Time: 00:31:07
Listen: Windows Media | MP3

It's big, and it orbits farther from the sun than any solar system object yet discovered. CalTech's Mike Brown and his co-discoverers want to name it Sedna, after the Inuit goddess of the cold deeps. We congratulate him on this week's show. Emily talks about the edge of deep space, and Bruce Betts joins us from Texas for What's Up! and the new trivia contest.

Guests

  • Mike Brown, an astronomer at CalTech and co-discoverer of the furthest kuiper belt object to orbit our sun
