Learn How "Stuff Happens" with Bill Nye the Science Guy

Bill Nye

Planetary Society Vice President Bill Nye the Science Guy returns to TV with a brand new series: Stuff Happens. Premiering Tuesday, September 2 at 9:00 PM ET on Planet Green, Stuff Happens unlocks the secret lives of everyday things before and after we consume them, and reveals the unintended consequences of all the stuff we take for granted.

From toothpaste to suntan lotion to the clothes we wear, the life cycle of each everyday item is investigated and uncovered. Throughout the 13-part series, Bill will also show how we can make simple and easy changes to reduce the environmental cost to Planet Earth.

Nye's mission for many years has been to interest the public in general, and kids in particular, to the "way cool" wonders of science. Scientist, comedian, teacher, and author, Nye became a household name with his innovative, fast-paced television series, Bill Nye the Science Guy. Nye earned a degree in mechanical engineering at Cornell University, where he took a class from Planetary Society founder Carl Sagan, and spent several years working as an engineer until he combined his dual love of science and comedy to create the Science Guy. Bill Nye is now Vice President of The Planetary Society.

Planet Green is channel 286 on DirecTV and 194 on Dish Network. Find Planet Green in your area by logging onto www.planetgreen.com and clicking on the channel finder button.
