Projects: EarthDials

The Many Voices Project

The phrase "Two Worlds One Sun" appears on the two MarsDials in English, and on all of the EarthDials in the local language of each EarthDial host.  Seeing the translations of “Two Worlds One Sun” through the many EarthDial Webcams inspired Thomas W. Rackers, himself an EarthDial host, to collect the translation in as many languages as possible.

Below are written samples in a number of hands; if you click on each one, you will hear the phrase spoken as well.  The many translations are presented in order of decreasing longitude, starting at the International Date Line and working our way eastward.  In cases where a given language is native to many countries, the contributor's home is given.
