In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Viking missions to Mars, NASA's Langley Research Center is hosting a conference to celebrate the accomplishments of the first mission to successfully land on Mars.
The Planetary Society is an education and outreach partner for a Viking 30th anniversary one-day conference that will discuss Mars: Past, Present, and Future. The conference will be at NASA's Langley Research Center, but you can tune into a live webcast of the event.
The conference will be held on Thursday, June 22, at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.
Many prominent Viking alumni will speak at the conference including Tom Young, Israel Taback, Noel Hinners and Norm Crabill.
