Planetary Society’s Town Halls on Space Policy

We Want to Hear From You!

A new U.S. president is about to take office, and his administration could set the course for U.S. space ventures for the next decade, or more. If you care about our future in space, now is the time to speak up and be heard. Now is the time to affirm public support for space exploration and articulate what our space priorities should be.

To facilitate this conversation, The Planetary Society has launched a series of Town Hall meetings to engage the public in charting this course for human and robotic space exploration.

Our Town Hall meetings are free and open to the public. So far, we’ve held meetings in Brookline, Massachusetts; Atlanta, Georgia; Palo Alto, California; and Glasgow, Scotland-- and more are being planned. To look for Town Hall meetings and other events in your area, keep your eye on our events calendar or sign up for email updates.

The Planetary Society used the results from these meetings and from our Space Priorities Survey to produce a roadmap for space exploration for the next Administration and Congress.

In short, the Roadmap calls for "A new and flexible program, based on a series of important first-time achievements and an international commitment to exploration and discovery." International cooperation is strongly recommended both to reduce costs for any one nation and to increase public interest and support.

Working together we will make sure that space exploration finds its rightful place among the priorities of the next U.S. President.
