Parkes Radio Telescope The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation's (CSIRO) Parkes radio telescope is a 64-m diameter parabolic dish used for radio astronomy. It is located about about 380 km west of Sydney, Australia and is operated by CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science (CASS).
