Curiosity's observation tray, sol 2078
The observation tray is a titanium plate bolted to the front of the rover that can be used for examination of dropped samples. Here, it holds one Duluth portion dropped using the feed-extended sample transfer technique on sol 2078 (11 June 2018). The squares marked on the tray are 6.35 mm across; the tray is 75 mm in diameter.
