Asteroid WEBF312 flyby, 2015 (GIF) On the night of March 11 and morning of March 12, 2015, an asteroid named WEBF312 flew past the Earth at a distance of about 100,000 kilometers—just two-and-a-half times the distance between the Earth and Moon.
