Neptune and Triton Crescent Neptune and Triton captured by Voyager 2 in 1989.

NASA/JPLAlson Wong

I created three separate RGB images from orange, green, and blue filtered images that were aligned on Neptune's limb, the clouds on Neptune, and Triton. I then stacked the three RGB images and used Layer Masks in Photoshop to reveal the clouds and Triton superimposed on the image of Neptune.

Original image data dated on or about September 3, 1989.
