Spirit "Home Plate South" Panorama, sols 1325-1332
This is the Spirit Pancam "Home Plate South" panorama, acquired on sols 1325 to 1332 (25 Sep - 2 Oct 2007). Spirit sits atop Home Plate, now understood to be the remains of a volcanic opening. The image is an approximate true color rendering using Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters. Image-to-image seams have been eliminated from the sky portion of the mosaic to better simulate the vista a person standing on Mars would see.

Most NASA images are in the public domain. Reuse of this image is governed by NASA's image use policy.
