Red Globe The planet Mars as captured by the Mars Color Imager (MARCI) on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on June 27, 2014. The Curiosity landing site is marked by a white dot. Visible in the south are frontal dust storm systems associated with the seasonal expansion of the south polar cap.
