Recreating Juno perijove 6 from ground telescopes

On the eve of the Juno perijove 7, Peter Rosén finished a project to recreate the perijove-06 image sequence with images taken by amateurs from Earth.

The top sequence is from JunoCam.

Rosén used images taken by Christopher Go, Teruaki Kumamori, Riuchi Iwamasa, Yoshida Tomoyuki from or around the same date, the 19th of May and stacked them into a complete map.

The black line with the arrows shows the track of the spacecraft.

Rosén then imported this map into StarryNightPro+ and reenacted the overflight, trying to get the same views. The result is in the bottom sequence.
