April 2014 Lunar Eclipse Composite This composite of three images shows the shape of the Earth's shadow as the Moon passed through it during the lunar eclipse.

The three images used to create this composite were taken with a Nikon D300 attached to a Celestron GPC-102ED f/9 refractor. From right to left, the exposures were 1/125, 8, and 1/60 second.
