Events

The Planetary Society creates and participates in events to bring the excitement of space exploration to public audiences. From our world-wide Planetfests to lectures in small-town libraries to hanging a solar-sail blade in Rockefeller Center in New York, we are constantly finding new ways involve our members in the excitement of space exploration.

Los Angeles County Science Fair

Student displays and competition to go to the State Finals for the science fair. We will be providing information, materials and some hands on activities to the students, educators, parents, and judges.

Griffith Observatory Monthly Star Party

Come join your Planetary Society volunteers as we host a free, family-friendly star party on the lawn of the Griffith Observatory! During the day, enjoy gazing at the sun through our solar telescopes. Once night approaches, we will be able to see the moon, the planets, and stars of the season. Engage with your fellow space-enthusiasts as we observe what the universe has to offer us! We look forward to seeing you all there!
