Events

The Planetary Society creates and participates in events to bring the excitement of space exploration to public audiences. From our world-wide Planetfests to lectures in small-town libraries to hanging a solar-sail blade in Rockefeller Center in New York, we are constantly finding new ways involve our members in the excitement of space exploration.

Carl Sagan Day Vancouver

The Planetary Society's Director of Space Policy, Casey Dreier, will be at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, BC to give a tribute to Carl Sagan as part of the Centre's Carl Sagan Day celebrations. After the tribute will be a screening of the 1997 film Contact, based on the book by Sagan. Carl Sagan inspired dress code is encouraged.
