Mass:  2,350 kilograms, based on the DFH-3 satellite platform.

Payload: There is a total of 23 instruments, together weighing 130 kilograms.

Technology: Much of the technology used for this mission is recycled from previously developed Chinese missions.

Communication: China’s existing S-Band, administered by the very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) astronomical surveying network, will be used to communicate with and control the spacecraft.

Mission Cost: The total cost of the project is about 170 million U.S. dollars (1.4 billion yuan).
