Topics: podcasts and videos, Mars, Curiosity (Mars Science Laboratory)
It was only one Earth-year (or ~1/2 a Martian year) ago that Curiosity successfully landed on Mars. I was at Planetfest in Pasadena, and my colleague Emily Lakdawalla was at JPL itself. Our, guest, Dr. Ashwin Vasavada was also at JPL, albeit in a very different role.
Dr. Vasavada is the Deputy Project Scientist on the Curiosity mission. He's been involved with curiosity since 2004 – that's nine years.
Want to learn about Curiosity's first year on Mars? Where it's going next? Then you should tune in. Want to ask your own question for Dr. Vasavada about the Curiosity mission? Definitely tune in and submit your questions via the G+ Event page or using the hashtag #planetarylive on Twitter. You can also submit your questions in advance.
I will embed the video here just a few minutes before 4pm PDT/7pm EDT on Monday, August 5th.
You can also watch on our G+ Page.
