My Sky

We’re looking for images you’ve taken of your sky—whether those images are of galaxies captured through a telescope or perhaps pictures of an incredible night sky, an eclipse, a star party, or a rocket launch. We can’t guarantee that we’ll publish every image and story—but we will look at each and every one and will showcase as many as possible here on our website and a few might make it to our magazine, The Planetary Report. We look forward to seeing your Sky.

It always thrills me to hear about an accomplishment of some project that I helped to start.

When I looked in libraries for good books that describe JPL, I found that there were just a few offerings in the communities near JPL, and often there was nothing ... more »

Author Launches New Science Fiction Novel into Outer Space

by Greg Young

August 17, 2018

I did something very exciting recently. I arranged to launch the original manuscript of my new young adult science fiction space novel, The Orb, the Link & the Library, into outer space. I did this with the help of one of our extraordinary commercial spaceflight service companies and then had it returned to Earth for publication (publishing on August 8, 2018). The thrill in doing this was so my young adult readers, as they hold a book whose original manuscript actually flew into space, might better experience the excitement of going there when they become absorbed by the story that ... more »
