My name is Elijah B. Barner I am a 32 year old engineering technician for the largest electronic utility company on the east coast Electronic Technology Inc. The type of work I do involves research and development, proto-type assembly, automated testing equipment, electronic repair of Wheston House and General Electric network protective relays, trouble-shooting, programming, wiring, schematic diagram read, firmware updates, e-filing, electronic hardware modifications, upgrades and customers services. I have my associate degree in Applied Science in Electronic Computer Technology and I am currently persuing my Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology with hopes of becoming a electronic engineer.
I also have certificates of course completion from Cisco Networking Academy. I currently am doing research and development on a few robotic projects with my own company NXTGEN were I focus on using STEM or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to develop technology to make the world better. I strongly believe robotics can open up many opportunities for mankind and would like to expand my knowledge in the field as a means of benefiting humanity. Also for NXTGEN I do computer networking, computer repair, hardware/ software upgrades, assemble gaming computers, laptop, and tablet repair. I am also looking to take my company to the next level including software development and I am also a inventor. I am also a student member of The IEEE Student Chapter (The Institute of Electric Electronic Engineering).
Our Advocacy Program provides each Society member a voice in the process.
Funding is critical. The more we have, the more effective we can be, translating into more missions, more science, and more exploration.
