I'm a new student in Massachusetts studying astrophysics. My love of physics and space come mostly from Neil deGrasse Tyson's Startalk podcast, Sagan's Cosmos and Hawking's Brief History of Time.
I run a science blog at http://antikythera-astronomy.tumblr.com/ where I write short articles on various random space and science topics. This blog is mostly to help myself absorb the information I need to be the best scientist I can be.
I'm both a member of the Planetary Society and am on the New Millennium Committee. My dedication to scientific progress and outreach is priority number one in my life. I hope to soon start volunteering personal time for the Planetary Society.
I envision a future in space. I've got high hopes for the future of rocket technology and hope that with the help of groups like SpaceX (and the Planetary Society of course!) we'll soon reach a new era of planetary exploration. It's my highest and most distant dream to travel to space and perhaps Mars one day, or even help someone else get there. I'll work for the rest of my life to make this a reality!
An asteroid or comet headed for Earth is the only large-scale natural disaster we can prevent. Working together to fund our Shoemaker NEO Grants for astronomers, we can help save the world.
